HEALTH IS WEALTH

Ajay is married and has two children. He is working hard to earn enough money to invest in buying a house. For that he has to put in more efforts, in fact doing two jobs simultaneously. Also, he needs to keep aside sufficient amount for his children’s admission and then their higher education. Hence he has to invest his money wisely, which takes lot of his time, efforts and energy. In addition, he has to keep a close watch on his financial investment, you never know when things can go wrong with cash. He also has to think about his children marriage and make arrangement for his own future after retirement and for his old age. For that purpose, he has to earn and invest enough. His whole life thus went in generating wealth and investing or multiplying it to have a better life for his family, build a house to stay and for their future.

When he reached 45 years of age, he started having high Blood pressure with splitting headaches and vertigo. It started hampering his normal day to day work and life. He thought why should he have any illness at such a young age ? His planning for life would suffer a setback should his Blood pressure problem persist. Doctor advised him to take care of his health than pursuing his life plans. He thought his was the age to earn and once he earned enough he will take care of himself and his health.

There are many people like Ajay in our society, who spend their lives trying to earn money and meticulously investing it to bear fruits for them, thereby neglecting themselves and their health. They feel why they should suffer from Blood pressure, diabetes or other health problems ?

The answer is simple. People like Ajay have forgotten to make the most important investment of their life. They have not made any investment in their health in their entire life in the form of –

a. Developing a healthy eating habit which nourishes their body.

b. Saying ‘No’ to addictions e.g smoking, alcohol, drugs, gambling etc.b. Physical activity like regular, simple walking ; jogging or playing games to improve their physical stamina.

c. Pursuing hobbies and spending time with family to balance their stress and

d. Taking care of their inner world to bring lasting peace and happiness in life.

Health is the biggest investment and it should begin early in life, so that it can give you good returns for many years to come irrespective of Sensex going up or down. Hence it is not money but Health which our Real Wealth. So what are you waiting for, start investing in your health today.

AHEWAL

Darjee Samaj Sangh organized its first ever gathering at Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar auditorium, Maaldhakka, Pune on 10/01/2010. It was an unprecedented attempt to bring together three communities of Tailors; the Damania’s, the Gamadia’s & the Surti’s.

There was an overwhelming participation of more than 350 people representing about 100 families from Pune, Pimpri & Chinchwad, Khapoli, Lonavala, Ahmednagar, Kolhapur, Mumbai, Valsad, Navsari, Baroda, Surat & Bangalore!

Dr. Zinabhai Bhikhabhai Bhika & his wife Srimati Padmaben Zinabhai Bhika magnanimously accepted the committee invitation to preside the function. Shri Sureshbhai Morarji kapadia was designated to be the Sangh President whereas the honour of special guest was conferred upon shri Uttambhai Kalyanji Bhagodia. Special invitees to this function from Damania’s were Shri Mukeshbhai Ratilal Marolia, the President of Damania Darji Mitra Mandal & Shri Vinodbhai Nagindas Damania the President of Damania Darji Community both of whom have two generational legacy of social work. They were accompanied by their ever-enthusiastic Committee Members Shri Pramodbhai Chauhan, Shri Maheshbhai Damania, Shri Sureshbhai Marolia & others. Gamadia Community was represented by the known & beloved shri Mahendrabhai Pardiwala,, Shri Dilipbhai Merai & team ,from Mumbai & Shri Kirtibhai Tailor & his coterie from Navsari. Due to the concurrent function on the date in Surat, the committee members of Surti community could not make to our function. In lieu however, there were multiple inspiring compliments, which promised their Broad-hearted support. Further to these special guests, Shri Mohanbhai Tailor the working president & shri Dilipbhai balsara were also invited on the stage.

The curtain raising was done around 5:30 in the evening, which was followed by inviting of the distinguished Guests to the stage for lighting the holy lamp. This was followed by Saraswati Vandana after which the guest to their respective positions on the dais.

Shri kalpeshbhai, Shri Umeshbhai & Smt. Lataben took charge of compeering & were ready to shower the flowery words meant for spreading fragrance of fraternity in the auditorium environment which was starting to become more & more colorful & charged up.

Recollecting from the message brought from the Damania community function on the previous Sunday, Kalpeshbhai brought out that the glowing lamp is an icon of light the Knowledge & exhorted that the world would be more enlightened place if all the three communities put together spread the light of the lamp!

Time was on for the floral welcome of the guests individually with their message to the now amalgamated community. Dr. Bhika magnanimously announced the generous contribution of Rs. 1,00,000/= & set the ball rolling in the midst of huge applause from the entire auditorium. He wished tons of compliments & rendered blessings to the committee for their mission, which was to reveal in the forum shortly. Shri Uttambhai Bhagodia there after addressed the gathering & took over the expenditures of Shawl & shriphal for rendering honour to the Septagenarians stalwarts of the community, which are about 27 in numbers. Shri Mohanbhai announced the expenditure of the hall & dedicated the same to his mother Smt. Maniben Dalpatram Tailor.

Umeshbhai very crisply conveyed the past history of this Sangh, which got submerged in dormancy & expressed the gratitude over the present reincarnation in different form now. Lataben kept on inviting the stage performers intermittently & motivated them to bring out their best dancing talent on the stage orchestrated with the sizzling music. This was not all, the mere announcement of placement of fund collection representative in the auditorium brought out the spate of funds from the generous gathering!! The “crowd” which was sometime back; was appearing to look like “community” now!!!

5

At this juncture Kalpeshbhai highlighted the concept of need of community. He conveyed that a single human need family & family need community. Now with the globalization, time has come when community needs community to fulfill the ever-growing challenges of the time. The meaning was starting to flow now!!

Shri Mohanbhai now took the stage & focused on the vision of the Sangh. He expressed that the Education builds future of individual & society. Pune is an education capital of the country. More than 25 Darji students come every year for taking education in Pune. There is an imminent need for building Hostel for them where they can stay economically, & learn with culture & decency. The Parents who intermittently come down to meet as also others also needs Sanatorium for accommodation. The very education has become tremendously costly with capitation fees & donations becoming unwritten rule of the game. How nice it would be if there is a College of Darji Samaj!! It would allay the insecurity of the parents. And finally the good old dream of having Wadi for marriages & other ceremonies, which form important part of anybody’s life. Gamadia Samaj has already made it true by establishing Wadi at Navsari & Damania Darjis are also working towards the same. “United we stand” were the golden words of appeal which concluded with sensitive call for realizing this dream in very short period of time by uniting the communities on mutual sharing basis.

Thereafter Kalpeshbhai called upon the invited in succession Shri Mukeshbhai, Shri Vinodbhai Shri mahendrabhai, Shri Kirtibhai, Shri Dilipbhai Merai & Tulsidas Bulsara to convey their response on the proposal. Not to everybody’s surprise there was overwhelming & homogeneous response from each of them & which inspired “Move ahead & we are all there with you. Bravo!!”

The best was not over!! The Secretary of the committee shri Hemangbhai could not come to the function because of the serious sickness of his mother but however, was taking the minute-by-minute report. He could not resist his inner urge to become an integral part of this event, which was already shaped up in to campaign now!! Hemangbhai spoke from hospital from his cell phone, which was put on public address system. He appealed to the gathering that other communities, by coming together have been able to successfully seek the legitimate subsidies of the education department & social welfare ministry. The vision conveyed by Mohanbhai is feasible, “Tamaro Sahkaar Tan Man Ane Dhan Thi Apekshit Chhe”. He also declared that the official website & e-mail for the Darji Samaj Sangh is already available & draft constitution is in finalization stage.

Kalpeshbhai could not resist at this & coined that “Vision without roadmap is daydreaming & roadmap without vision is wandering”. Darji Samaj Sangh with this Robust vision also has short term 100 days roadmap which includes Floating Ahewal, Bringing out Wastipatrak & last but not the least “Matajino Havan”. There is also the 1000 days programme of land purchase, construction & commissioning for mission, integrated with measure & mode of financing & back up. He insisted that the representatives of these presently individual committees should now exchange invitation in the cultural, religious forum & unanimously explore the financial conglomeration.

In the end the newly joined families were invited to come on the dais along with their family & introduce themselves to the gathering. This fond colorful & melodious program, which marked the beginning of a new era, thus got concluded with announcement for invitation to all the guests for sumptuous dinner.
